Phlebotomy technicians are critical team members in hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, and blood donor centers. As new types of tests are developed and laboratory tech positions grow, it's a fascinating time to begin a career in this thriving field.
6 week Course ( Online + Lab Practice)The Phlebotomy Technician training includes these topics below:
- Principles of proper phlebotomy technique
- Specimen processing
- Point-of-care testing
- Compassionate patient care
- Maintenance and use of equipment
- Record keeping and documentation
- Basic principles of anatomy and physiology
- Disease process
- Therapeutic communication
- Hazardous materials management
- Patient assessment.
- Order of draw
- Pre-analytical variables
- How to locate veins/troubleshoot hard-to-find veins
- Phlebotomy Scope of Practice
*Students will need to pass a Certification Exam (NHA, CPT) after completing the course.
Course Schedule: 4/1/24 - 5/10/24, 6/3/24-7/12/24, 8/5/24-9/13/24, 10/7/24-11/15/24. Skill Lab is Every Monday and Tuesday from 1 pm -3 pm in April and May (4 times attending required while taking the course) and every Monday and Saturday 1pm-3pm in June .

채혈사는 병원, 진단 실험실 및 헌혈 센터에서 중요한 팀원입니다. 새로운 유형의 테스트가 개발되고 실험실 기술 분야의 일자리가 늘어나면서 번창하는 분야이며 경력을 시작하기에 더욱 좋은 시기입니다.
6주과정 (온라인 + 학교실습)
채혈사 과정에서는 다음과 같은 주제를 공부합니다.
- 정맥채혈 원리
- 검사물 관리
- 입원환자 채혈, 검사
- 환자를 캐어하는 법, 치료적 의사소통
- 장비의 유지보수 및 사용법
- 기록 보관 및 문서화
- 기본적인 해부학 및 생리학
- 간단한 병리학
- 위험물 관리
- 정맥을 찾는 방법/정맥을 찾기 어려울 때 해결하는 방법
*과정을 마친후에 자격증 시험 (NHA, CPT)을 치게 됩니다.
수업일정: 4/1/24 - 5/10/24, 6/3/24-7/12/24, 8/5/24-9/13/24, 10/7/24-11/15/24. 4월, 5월 실습은 매주 월요일, 화요일 1 pm -3 pm 에 있습니다 (6주간 최소 4번 참석필수). 6월은 매주 월요일, 토요일 1pm - 3pm 에 있습니다.
